This year has an amazing list of games that are to be released soon (so long as there are no more delays, looking at you Doom Eternal) and are sure to wow gamers and players. Whether they be sequels to well received games, remasters or remakes of existing games or original
games, there’s something for everyone to look forward to. Here is a list of a few games that I am excited for placed in no particular order.
Doom Eternal
It’s more Doom (2016), with slicker graphics, guns, more story and a plethora of demons to shoot, blow up, rip open, shoot and blow up some more. With the addition of a grappling hook and many more ways to get around faster in Hell. Though the game has been delayed, it shouldn’t take anything away from how the game will perform. The game is set to be released on March 20th 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Persona 5 Royal
I thoroughly enjoyed playing the original version of Persona 5. The style, designs, music and game mechanics all blended together to make a unique and fun experience. So an improved version of the game sounds pretty good, right? With added characters and more story and mechanics it’s sure to be a fun time much like the original game. Releasing March 31st 2020 on the PlayStation 4.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
A remake of a classic game that I never got the chance to play so I’m excited to be able to experience this game with better graphics, better mechanics and easier to obtain. With a short delay from March to April, it’s only a number of weeks away now. We get to revisit Midgar in stunning HD. Final Fantasy VII Remake is set to be released on April 10th 2020 on the PlayStation 4.
Tales of Arise
I’m a fan of the Tales games so to see another game being made within the franchise. An Action-RPG set to be released this year is bound to be good. Though I’m mostly going off of the two games I’ve played, Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Xillia which were both pretty good games so I’m looking forward to it.
The Last of Us Part II
The Last of Us was a really good game with some well done gameplay, with great characters and a well-written narrative. So the sequel should have many an improvement to each of the three game parts I’ve mentioned, as well as some improved graphics. With the game being a little more time for polish, it is set to be released on May 29th 2020 for the PlayStation 4. We are bound to see more from TLOU Parft 2 very soon.
What are you looking forward to playing in 2020? Let us know in the comments.
