New character breakdowns revealed online appear to have opened up speculation on ABC’s upcoming Marvel series, Marvel’s The Inhumans,
The Hashtag Show, citing strong sources brokedown the characters we can expect to see in the new superhero series set to air later in the year. The breakdowns indicate we’ll be getting a chance the royal family on our screens. See for yourself.
- Broderick — male, 30-40, Caucasian. Can say volumes with just a look. Strong thoughtful and private, he’s unaccustomed to being questioned or feeling a need to answer to anyone, to an extent can verge on arrogance.
- Marjorie — Female, 30-40, Caucasian. An elegant and intelligent advisor to her husband, she struggles to find her place outside of their relationship, as others tend to view her as just a pretty face. Strong and resourceful, she’s not afraid to break the rules when the situation demands it.
- Marty — Male, 30-40, Caucasian. Broderick’s younger brother; he is intelligent, charming and articulate. He comes across as a man of the people but secretly covets power.
- Kevin — Male, 30-40, Open. Slight of build, his mind is his greatest asset. Always prepared with a plan, his outlook on life is the glass is always half-empty and often cracked and dirty as well. Though his outlook can be grim he has a droll, dry sense of humor.
- Grady — Male, 25-35, Open. Impetuous and brash, he has serious impulse control issues which frequently get him into trouble, whether it’s women, booze or fighting. He loves life and lives in the moment, for better or worse.
- Christine — Female, 18-25 to play 18, Caucasian. Soulful but still learning the ways of the world, she has the arrogance of youth. Impetuous and independent, she is also deeply devoted to her family.
- Timothy – Male, 25-35, Open, SFXMU required. Supremely athletic. The ultimate picture of cool. He’s calm under pressure and willing to do anything to get the job done.
The Inhumans Royal Family
For anyone familiar with the comics, it’s clear from the descriptions what characters we’re looking at. Broderick is Black Bolt, Marjorie is Medusa, Marty is Maximus, Kevin is Karnak, Grady is Gorgon, Christine is Crystal and Timothy is Triton. All of them are members of the Inhuman Royal Family. There have been no official announcements on casting but it shouldn’t be much longer before we know.
The Inhumans have already featured in the Marvel TV Universe with the appearance of two characters in Marvel’s Agents of Shield series. This new series was originally pegged for a big film release but found it’s way to the smaller screens.
The Inhumans are also currently battling mutants in the ongoing series from Marvel Comics, Inhumans VS X-Men. If issues #0 and #1 are anything to go by for a relatively newcomer like myself to the Inhumans royals, they’re not to be taken lightly. My hope is this might lead to even a slight appearance by my favourite Inhuman, Ms. Marvel but I’ll try not to ’embiggen’ my hopes for that just yet.
Marvel’s The Inhumans is scheduled for September with production beginning March.
