Finally! Gamers have a legitimate reason to grope booth babes! The video below shows artists and entrepreneurs Danielle Hopkins and Kyle Duffield showcasing their latest invention, a full functioning Playstation bra controller. The pair debuted their creation at Vector, a gaming and art convention in 2013 with the video resurfacing recently on Reddit, thus sparking interest.
To showcase the controller, players were allowed to play the game Dead Or Alive using the controller whilst Hopkins wore the bra and Duffield wore the male counterpart. In their video, Hopkins and Duffield explain the motivation behind the controller was an effort “to challenge the exaggerated hyper-feminised and hyper-masculinised bodies within Dead Or Alive”.
Art or not, this is certainly a weird approach to console gaming! What do you think, readers? Did they make their point about the over sexualisation of bodies in video games or did we just give gamer boys an excuse to play with both their girlfriend and their console?
