Take-Two Interactive released their financial report for their fiscal year ending on March 31st 2016. They have commented that their “Fiscal 2016 marked the third consecutive year of stronger-than-expected Non-GAAP revenues and profits for Take-Two,” said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two. “Our results were driven by the continued extraordinary performance of Grand Theft Auto V, ongoing momentum in our NBA 2K and WWE 2K series, the successful launch of XCOM 2, and our highest-ever revenue from recurrent consumer spending.”

What’s interesting in the report is the segment on Rockstar Games. It states that “Rockstar Games is hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon.” One of their “projects” has long been reported to be the a follow-up to Red Dead Redemption, which was a critically acclaimed release in 2010. It has not had any additional release since the Undead Nightmare expansion released in 2011. Rockstar, who are very good at keeping secrets, continue to be tight lipped on their future projects and will no doubt release info in their own time.

I would actually like to see the reintroduction of AGENT, which was an exclusive PS3 game 1st announced at E3 2009. Bar a few leaked images, AGENT hasn’t been heard of since. Sony execs always pointed any questions from media about the the game towards Rockstar themselves. Take-Two will be at this year’s E3 in June, but will Rockstar make a rare appearance themselves?
