Could These Marvel Characters Be Getting Their Own Netflix Series’?

According to MovieCreedLive.com sources, Netflix will be adding Moon Knight, Blade, and Ghost Rider to their slate of Marvel series. But what would this mean for the Marvel Cinematic Netflixverse?
Blade’s high visibility in the early days of super hero cinema makes him an obvious choice for a move to television. While we haven’t seen him on the big screen since Blade: Trinity (the first Ryan Reynolds comic book movie) the concept of a half vampire vampire hunter should gel fairly easily in a world of Purple Men and resurrected assassins.
Moon Knight is the human avatar of the Egyptian god Khonshu, who also has multiple personalities. So far, so Daredevil Season 2, except instead of a lawyer, Moon Knight is crazy. Also sometimes drives a taxi. Hopefully they’ll be inspired by the intense and award-winning series written by Warren Ellis and Ireland’s own Declan Shalvey.
Ghost Rider is an excuse for Nicolas Cage to be Nicolas Cage, but on fire. Fans and critics alike will probably remember both of the Spirit of Vengeance’s big screen outings. There was the weirdly tame first film, with a strangely wooden Johnny Blaze, followed by the overcompensation that was the second film, where Nicolas Cage brought his own face paint to the set and based his performance on a snake. The first film was commercially successful (to an extent) but the second will now only be remembered as an unfortunate fever dream (and Idris Elba’s first comic book movie). It’s definitely the most ambitious of the three potential series, but if Netflix can afford the budget for the CGI, they won’t have to work too hard to improve upon the character’s previous adventures.
I believe now is the time when we start posting casting ideas in the comments?
PS – Spider-Man fans, if these rumors are true Mephistopheles now exists in the MCU. Make of that what you will.
