Monsterpalooza, the world-renowned event for fans of film, makeup, special effects, but most importantly, monsters, is back for yet another year. The-Arcade is excited to be sending a correspondent to document this year’s event.
Monsterpalooza has been around since 2009, allowing fans to meet award winning masterminds behind some of the greatest creatures ever created for feature films, television and the haunt industry. Their impressive guest list of special celebrity guests from the world of Horror, Science Fiction, and Fantasy, is composed of names like: Doug Bradley (Pinhead from Hellraiser), Haruo Nakajima (Godzilla suit actor from inception to 1972), David Naughton (American Werewolf in London), Dina Meyer (Starship Troopers, Saw II), Tom Savini (Master Makeup Artist, Actor and Director), John Murdy (Universal Halloween Horror Nights), Nick Castle (Writer and Director, Original Halloween Michael Meyers), Linda Blair (The Exorcist), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog, Creepshow, Escape from New York), to only mention a few.
They count with over 250 exhibitors selling everything from props and makeup, to collectibles and toys, live makeup demonstrations from the best in the business, and the famous Monsterpalooza Museum featuring full sized creatures, sculptures, screen used props and animatronics.
There is also the Monsterpalooza Theatre, where unique panels and presentations are featured all weekend long, featuring the stars, directors, producers and artists responsible for the creatures and movies you grew up with.
