Nintendo of Europe has announced on Twitter that Mario Kart 64, originally released in 1997 for the Nintendo 64, is being released on Virtual Console for Wii U, with support for up to 4 players.

Mario Kart 64 will be available on the Virtual store this Thursday, January 24, retailing in the UK at £8.99.
