Fans of the murder mystery genre rejoice, as the long running Japanese franchise, Danganronpa, is coming to PC via a Steam release. The first title in the series, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, originally released in 2010, before being localised for English speakers in 2014 with a PS Vita release.
The original Danganronpa will release February 2016 on Steam, followed by Danganronpa 2 at a later date( the sequel’s release being confirmed by Siliconera).
The original games plot is a weird one, but full of mystery and suspense. When a group of teenagers wake up at Hope’s Peak Academy, they are greeted by a talking bear, Monokuma. With no hope of escape, the crew must engage in a bizarre murder game and stay alive. With multiple sequels, manga adaptations and even an anime series, the Danganronpa franchise is far from slowing down, even with the critical and fan backlash against the most recent entry in the series, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. Now is the perfect time to jump onto the franchise if you have missed out, as fans of Phoenix Wright or Battle Royal will love this quirky fight for survival.
