Mockingbird To Star In Her Own Solo Comic
At this week’s Diamond Retailer Summit in Baltimore, Marvel announced another addition to their growing list of female-led comics with a Mockingbird ongoing solo title! While very few details have been released, we do know that Chelsea Cain will be writing the series. Better known as a successful novelist, Cain penned the impressive Mockingbird S.H.I.E.L.D. 50th Anniversary issue released earlier this month. The one-shot was her first step into the comics industry and was a well received debut.
An artist hasn’t been announced yet but we’ll keep you updated!
Mockingbird, also known as Bobbi Morse is a highly trained spy, genius biologist and skilled gymnast. She first appeared in 1972 but grew in popularity after appearing in Agents of Shield, played by Adrianne Palicki. She’s also reported to be getting her own spin-off to the series, potentially as early as next year.
Bobbi’s first solo adventure is set to debut some time next year.
