Hulk Will Not Appear In Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 Confirms Gunn
Unfortunately, despite Planet Hulk rumours swirling around for a while now, James Gunn has confirmed Hulk will not appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Categorically, almost brutally, the writer stated on Twitter during a recent spat of answering fan questions that “there is zero chance you will see Hulk in GotGVol2.”
I will comment on it now (as I’ve done before) – there is zero chance you will see Hulk in GotGVol2. https://t.co/C1jNd0ZyVb

Gunn’s explanation is that he currently wants Peter Quill A.K.A Star-Lord to be the sole human character, which makes sense given the universe. However, it is nevertheless a shame that no independent Hulk movies have been released since 2008 and Mark Rufallo has not only been denied a film to himself but was also recently revealed to not be making an appearance in Captain America: Civil War either. With the runaway success of Hulk since the first Avengers movie, the lack of the big guy is more than a little conspicuous. It’s a hard time to be a Hulk fan.
