Never give up, never surrender! After a bit of a relaunch as a comic, 1999 cult classic sci-fi film Galaxy Quest is getting an episodic series on Amazon.
In a partnership between Paramount and Amazon, director Dean Parisot, writer Robert Gordon, and producer Mark Johnson are signed up to create the series, which EW reports is in very early stages. None of the original cast are associated as of yet, nor are there any details on what the premise of the series will be.
For those unfamiliar, Galaxy Quest is a Star Trek parody which made fun of both cult sci-fi and fandom. The movie follows a group of characters who play the crew on a sci-fi TV show who get abducted by aliens to fight in a real galactic war and stars Sigourney Weaver, Tim Allen, Alan Rickman and Sam Rockwell.
