Master of horror Wes Craven has passed away. He died peacefully in his sleep after an ongoing battle with brain cancer.
Incredibly well-known and respected in the horror world, Craven began working as a director in 1972 with The Last House On The Left and, over the course of his career, re-invented and re-invigorated horror cinema over and over again. His most well known films include A Nightmare On Elm Street and Scream, released in the ’80s and 90s respectively, which gave us screen icons Freddy Kreuger and Ghostface.
