Gamescom is well and truly underway with the kickoff conference from Microsoft. Phil and co. brought some big guns, both literally and figuratively, and here’s all the trailers and announcements that are moss imperative you see!

Crackdown 3

Some 5 years after Crackdown 2 left a bad taste in everyone’s mouths, Crackdown 3 is coming. The first look doesn’t show much other than we can expect the core Crackdown experience – collecting coloured orbs, shooting bad guys and a ridiculous narrator following us as we do it.

Quantum Break

The mysterious Quantum Break had some gameplay shown and it looks pretty interesting. Playing with time in active combat opens up cool avenues that have been explored before, but hopefully this can push the idea even further.

Forza Motorsport 6

This series always looks excellent and this instalment is no different. Even though it is a bit of a cynical joke, look at that rain!

Scalebound

An action adventure where the player shares combat with a massive dragon? Sold.

Halo Wars 2

A very unexpected surprised, the RTS game based on the Halo universe Halo Wars is getting a sequel on PC and Xbox One! If it maintains the quality of the first one, this will be a winner.

Ark: Survival Evolved

The popular PC survival game is coming to Xbox One!

Homefront: The Revolution

The politically charged alt-reality shooter is getting a sequel that looks even more politically charged.

Just Cause 3

Why are they making a third one? Just cause.

Rainbox Six Siege

This team based shooter looks more impressive with every trailer, which shoots the cynicism levels way up. Will the final product deliver? We sure hope so.

Dark Souls 3

Hot on the heels of Bloodborne, from Software are not to be outdone. Dark Souls 3 looks incredible, as per usual, and the speed in the gameplay clips is something that’s going to prove very interesting to test out.

World of Tanks

It’s an MMO with tanks you can play on your Xbox One.

Mad Max

Promising, very promising trailer, slightly dodgy voice work aside. Great license at a perfect time, please don’t screw this up!

Doom

More demons, more speed, more ridiculous gore. Getting closer to the Doom we all know and love!

Rock Band 4

Let’s be honest, whoever is the first to pick the full band of this is going to have the best parties, at least for a little while!

Elite: Dangerous

Whole lot of shooting in the trailer for a game that’s more about exploration and travel than anything else. Elite: Dangerous is a great game that requires a lot of time to get the most out of, we hope Xbox One players give it a real chance.

We Happy Few

Lots of Bioshock vibes run through this trailer. Which means it looks charming and creepy in equal measure!

Worms WMD

Worms, innit?

Cobalt

Fun, colourful platformer with shooting and puzzles? That’ll do nicely!

Thimbleweed Park

Odd looking old-school mystery adventure. This is one to keep an eye on.

Rise Of The Tomb Raider

Lara Croft can stealth kill with the best of them, there’s no doubt about that!

What were your thoughts on the Microsoft conference? Which of these trailers looks most exciting to you? Let us know in the comments!
