Horrible Bosses Writers To Pen New Spider-Man Movie
The new Spider-Man movie has found its screenwriters and they’re definitely not the kind of writers one would think were in the running for such a project. Horrible Bosses and Vacation writers John Francis Daley and Johnathan M. Goldstein will be formulating the next solo jaunt for the web-head, Deadline is reporting.
These guys were in the running to direct the movie, but since that went to Jon Watts, it seems they managed to get the next best thing – though, honestly, neither option fills us with confidence. Both Horrible Bosses films were pretty divisive and Vacation doesn’t have a whole lot of confidence from the critics either.
Whatever idea or plan they put forward that put them at the top of the pile for Sony and Marvel had better be different from their usual work, otherwise we might be in for another lacklustre Spider-Man movie, which is most definitely not what ol’ Petey needs right now.
The next Spider-Man solo film is due in 2017.
