Welcome back to our weekly EwTube column where we list a series of videos from the odd side of the internet. Although last week we looked through some of the very strange Simpsons moments that have graced our screens over the years, this week we’re tackling creepy ads.
From cream cannibalism to alcohol awareness videos, this bunch will either creep you out, depress you, or both:
Ice Cream Man
Few things could turn us off eating ice cream, but this ad managed to do it. The video was released by a small ice cream shop in Philadelphia called Little Baby’s Ice Cream (the name itself leans on the creepier side of branding) which shows a person covered in sweet, dairy goodness eating him or herself with a spoon. Our verdict? Everyone involved with this video was tripping balls when they made it.
Fragile Childhood
Released by a Finnish organisation that tackles parental alcohol abuse, the video shows how children see their parents when they’ve been drinking. Some of the ‘monster parents’ in the video have more scare power than some of the recent horror movies we’ve seen!
Paul, is that you?
This one aired in 2013 for Bangkok Insurance and it’s pretty surprising to say the least. The driver seems totally cool with the fact that his car was just totalled by the poor valet driving it, and is more interested in chatting to an old friend. Though, to be fair, when our own mammies get chatting in Tesco, no amount of accidents or sleeve tugging will get her to leave until she’s done!
Doritos goat
So this one is as hilarious as it is bizarre (and kind of terrifying…). It features a man/goat relationship where the sole link is that they both love Doritos way more than anyone should. The best part is when the goat starts screaming.
