Marge And Homer To Split In Season 27 Of The Simpsons
In an interview with Variety, executive producer for The Simpsons, Al Jean, has confirmed that the happily married couple that is Homer and Marge are set to split in season 27. 
Jean explained that in the next run, Homer is diagnosed with narcolepsy and the condition puts a severe strain on their marriage:
“In the premiere, it’s discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it’s an incredible strain on the marriage. Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who’s voiced by Lena Dunham. We’ll have cameos from the other women from Girls.”
It’s not the first time the Simpsons’ marriage has been on the rocks and Homer did divorce and remarry Marge in episode 150 ‘A Milhouse Divided’.
