Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is still a year away, but Warner Bros. have decided to quell some worries and cook up some speculation by releasing the official synopsis:
“Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”
So, we already knew this film was going to be stacked, but it looks like both Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) will have an intense story-arc through-out the movie. The synopsis doesn’t make mention of any of the peripheral characters like Lex Luthor (Jess Eisenberg) or Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), but the greater danger could be hinting at Luthor’s rise to power.
Who knows? We’ll have to wait and find out. Warner Bros and DC are planning a blow-out panel for SDCC this year, so hopefully we’ll get greater context then! A trailer was released some weeks ago and can be viewed here.
