New Speed Racer Series Confirmed
A new Speed Racer series has been confirmed to be in the development stages. The news broke after Total Licensing magazine publishing a story that since the original rights to the series had reverted back to Tatusnoko Productions in 2011.
The animation company began looking into it and have now begun developing a new series with the aim of bring Speed Racer or Mach Go Go Go to a more modern audience. The original show first aired between 1967 and 1968, debuting on US television in 1967, although highly edited to match US audiences tastes. The show would go on to spawn a spin-off series, comics, action figures and a live-action movie in 2008 directed by the Wachowskis.
