The creators of the hugely popular Black Mesa mod have posted something on their website that seems a little off. If you visit the website, you’ll be greeted by the image of an old TV glowing purple in the blackness surrounding it. And if you click it, a set of numbers crop up, flickering and dancing in place.
And nothing else. No logos at the bottom, no hints or hashtags – curious and curiouser…
There’s been no release from the developers as to what will be announced when the countdown hits zero. Rumors and theories abound such as whether its a full Steam retail release of the mod, or something entirely out of left field.
The Countdown is ticking away and is set to finish at 10:47am (GMT) on the 5/5/15, so we’re not in for too long of a wait.
We’re keeping an eye on this and whatever comes out of this strange countdown.
