The Rock Joins Cast For Disney Film Moana
Well, people seem to be surprised by this but Dwayne Johnson is no stranger to the works of the house of mouse having starred in The Game Plan while making many the cameo in a variety of the Disney channel shows including Hannah Montana. This however maybe his most interesting part as he will be singing as part of his lead male role.
The actor took to Instagram to announce the news as he signed contracts at Disney Studios:
“At DISNEY STUDIOS signing contracts to play the male lead in their next big classic animated musical, #MOANA. Just had an amazing 2hr presentation and it’s easy to see why they’re the greatest story tellers in the world. Im excited. And in the background my homies Fred & Wasabi from #BigHERO6 are jumpin’ for joy joy cause they heard I’m gonna sing in the movie.#WeTrulyKnowWhereWereGoing #WhenWeUnderstandWhereWereFrom #NeverForgetHome #MOANA”
The Rock has certainly beefed up the cast of the upcoming title and it will be interesting to see how he takes on this role.
