Disney have decided to make ALL the live-action films, as hot on the news of Mulan getting the live-action treatment on the success of the new Cinderella, Winnie The Pooh is the next Disney classic on the chopping block.
Deadline are reporting that Alex Ross Perry is directing, with Brigham Taylor producing. The film will center on an older Christopher Robin, who finds himself returning to the Hundred Acre Wood after an absence. So, basically, Hook but with the Winnie The Pooh cast and setting.
At this early stage, all I hope is that they stop announcing these films and let a few of them come out – allow the audience to soak each one in, instead of just constantly vying for their attention. There is as yet no projected release date.
