Disney Announce Live-Action Mulan Film
The live action train does not seem to be ending any time soon, following the most recent box office success of Cinderella Walt Disney Pictures have decided to lay their gold making hands on Mulan as their next live action adaptation, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Everyone remembers Mulan, released in 1998 and has one of the most iconic female heroines of Disney history and some of the catchiest songs ever created. The story follows a young woman who poses as a man to take the place of her father in the Chinese army although it could bring shame on her family, she must face off against one of China’s most feared enemies, the Huns.
There’s nothing better than seeing your childhood favorite films made into live action epics. Disney are following up on the successes of Alice in Wonderland, the Sleeping Beauty prequel Maleficent and most recently Cinderella with this announcement, which joins live action adaptations of Beauty and the Beast and The Jungle Book to form Disney’s live action slate for the coming years.
