According to comic lore, Apocalypse was born 5000 years ago. The first human to possess the X-Gene, this would fuel his drive to seek out the strongest of his people crushing those who x-men-apocalypse-who-should-play-the-main-manopposed him, the weak and the undeserving beneath his power. Believing himself ruler of all, he is all but unstoppable possessing numerous including; Molecular self-manipulation, Immortality, Superhuman physical attributes, Teleportation, Energy manipulation, Technopathy, Psionic powers, Healing factor and a Genius-level intellect.

Rumors were floated for ages that Tom Hardy was been eyed for the role of Apocalypse but those are now to put rest with this casting.
