Pulse College are looking for help on their mission to save kids through video games.
Each member of the team has chosen their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital where thousands of children undergo treatment each year regardless of their family’s ability to pay. These children face some scary illnesses like cancer, CF and many more.
On October 25th Pulse College is getting involved in a huge international celebration of the social impact of gamers with Extra life and they are asking for your support through a monthly pledge or a one time donation that will go to that team member’s chosen hospital.
Extra Life started in 2008 as a tribute to a young girl named Victoria Enmon who sadly lost her battle with leukemia. Inspired by her courage members of the Sarcastic Gamer Community sent in video games and bought gifts to keep her spirits up while battling her illness.
After she sadly passed in January 2008, the Sarcastic Gamer Community got involved in Extra Life, a 24 hour video game marathon to raise money for the hospital that treated Victoria. This quickly became a worldwide fund raiser that enabled gamers to support their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital of their choice.
All the proceeds go to help the children who need it most. Last year more than 4 million dollars was raised and this year the goal is much higher. To date the Extra Life campaign has raised over 2 million dollars.
Pulse College can’t do this without your help. Donating online is safe and easy. To make an online donation please click on the members name and click “Support This Participant” button on this page.
