Who is ready for some Toad? Well Captain Toad is definitely up some adventure in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – but he isn’t the only one! With its release on January 9th for the Wii U the pink-pigtailed Toadette has been introduced in portions of the will be a second playable character.
We all remember Toad from his first appearance in his own levels of Super Mario 3D World for Wii U – he and Toadette are unlike any other heroes because they have no special powers, shrooms can’t even jump! That doesn’t discourage them (much) as they face their adventures head on – each level will be filled with different locales like the Goomba waterparks all being as overflowing with secrets to discover and puzzles to solve.
Together Toad and Toadette are on the hunt for the biggest treasure ever, a Power Star. Together they must face the giant Wingo, a greedy bird who steals their only power star and even makes off with Toadette (our resident damsel in distress). You must aid Captain Toad as he goes to get back his power star and Toadette – thus unlocking her as a playable character and defeat the greed bird Wingo.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be released for the Wii U on January 9th – for now have a look at what’s to come in the trailer.
