If you’ve ever wondered what the big deal is about eSports or why people get so invested in perfecting their skills and the teams train and develop their own strategies then you’ll want to check this new three-part series out. Riot Games, the developers of one of the biggest MOBA games in the world, League of Legends, have put together a documentary highlighting the growing phenomenon of eSports.
The first part of the documentary was released late last night and focuses on the players, their highs and their lows as they compete for coveted spaces at this years World Championships in Seoul, Korea:
“In this chapter of Road to Worlds, we look back through the seasons and highlight the journey through competitive League of Legends. Through the toughest of times and moments of happiness, join Pro Players in their search for glory at Worlds.“
The winning team will take home the glory, title and a cool $1million dollar prize pot (split between five members) and a further million dollars split between second and third place teams.
The second and third chapter of Road to Worlds is scheduled for release on September 12th and 15th
