Making the impossible possible, HBO have gotten us more excited for True Detective season 2 than we were previously with the announcement that Colin Farrell has joined the cast. Given that Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson headed up season 1, it looks like they’re keeping the A-list headliners a constant going forward. Speaking with The Sunday World, Farrell stated on the role:
“I’m doing the second series. I’m so excited. I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot. I know very little about it, but we’re shooting in the environs of Los Angeles which is great.”
Details on the second series are being kept top secret, which is best for a show like True Detective that completely rewards being watched completely fresh and having the viewer work out what’s happening as it happens.
