‘Rat Queens’ Animated TV Show
DC and Marvel just haven’t been doing it for me lately, and I’m sure many others agree. The stories are the same old, the characters haven’t changed in a decade and the lack of leading ladies has me in a slump. Thankfully, I’ve found an antidote to this.
The antidote is Rat Queens. Written by Kurtis Wiebe and drawn by Roc Upchurch, Rat Queens follows a band of beer-guzzling adventuring ladies as they slay monsters, have house parties and break heart. My love for this series can’t be described in words. Pick up the first volume of it, you won’t be disappointed.
But that’s not all I have to say regarding the fierce fantasy ladies! Rat Queens has been picked up by Pukeko Pictures and Heavy Metal. I’m beyond excited to see the Queens come to life on the TV.
