Okay everyone stop what you’re doing and check this campaign out! Australian film director, Peter Georges wants to bring the life of Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn to the fans in a fanmade ‘Origins’ film.
Everyone whoever even looked at photos from a convention would have an idea who she is, the red and black jester of injustice is definitely one of the most popular characters for girls and even guys to cosplay! While everyone might be able to pick her out of a lineup not everyone might be as familiar with her character background and story, she’s more than just the off and off again other half of the Joker. Dr. Harleen Frances Quinsel MD began an internship in psychiatry at one of Gotham’s most infamous hospitals, Arkham Asylum and it’s here that her fate was sealed when she crossed path with it’s most notorious resident, the Joker.
Georges production has been at least eights in pre-production with this indiegogo campaign kicking off last week with the hopes of raising $20,000. The fan-film will chronicle the events of Harley’s descent into madness, crime and infatuation. As with all of these types of campaigns there are some amazing rewards (other than cute happy fuzzy feelings) including signed artwork, props, handwritten notes from Harley herself and even copies of the movie.
