“Continuing on our 2012 mission to bring quality VFX events to Dublin – Darklight Festival in association with Element Pictures Distribution and The Lighthouse Cinema, are delighted to present a very special event to celebrate the release of DEATH OF A SUPERHERO.
Following a preview screening on the 29th of November at 6.30 in The Lighthouse, Nicky Gogan (director Darklight Festival) will talk to Alessandro Cioffi, (VFX supervisor at acclaimed VFX and animation studio TRIXTER – Captain America, The Avengers, X-men). Alessandro will be discussing their creative process, why and how they came to the decision to use classic animation techniques to bring the drawings of Donald Clarke to life. He will also be opening up the project files to demonstrate this unique pipeline, giving insights into how they combined traditional cell animation with CG techniques, to realise the vision of director Ian FitzGibbon.“
