Dr. Who and Heroes star Christopher Eccleston is talking with the people behind the highly anticipated Thor sequel. Penned as ‘Thor: The Dark World’, little is known about the movie at the moment but we’re doing our homework on this one folks and it would seem that Eccleston won’t be playing just any minor role in the sequel if he is confirmed, he could be fighting opposite Chris Hemsworth as one of the Norse God’s greatest enemies, Malekith the Accursed!
So, while not exactly a huge Thor fan we have done our research and for anyone else who doesn’t know who Malekith is, here is the scoop:
“Malekith, a Dark Elf, has all the normal attributes of a member of the race of dark elves, although his abilities are as a result of above-average development. He possesses superhuman intellect, strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes. As a dark elf, Malekith also has the ability to manipulate the forces of magic for a variety of effects, including teleportation, energy projection, physical malleability, flight (by transforming into mist) illusion casting, and the ability to change the shape and appearance of other beings or objects.
Malekith has a vulnerability to iron, which disrupts or cancels his magical spells.”
So there you have it folks, Eccleston could be playing a twisted Dark Elf hellbent on the destruction of Asgard… yay!
