Following up their last single Can Do, which found great success as the first opening theme of the anime Kuroko no Basuke, GRANRODEO recently landed the second opening as well with their newest single Rimfire. We reviewed the anime earlier, and you can find it here .
Rimfire is the seventeenth single from the seiyuu fronted rock unit and their second this year. Released on the 18th of July, the single has been released in both regular and limited editions, both with b-sides Urban Sweet and Koi no Heatwave . While the title track is as upbeat and fitting to an anime opening as Can Do, the b-sides reflect the heavy influence that classic rock has had on the band. The limited edition includes both the Rimfire PV, which can be previewed above, and a special music video for Can Do entitled the We Can Do? Version which features 300 lucky fans and a lot of pom-poms.
Although Rimfire is not yet found on any album, the band have scheduled an as yet untitled live album to be released in October. GRANRODEO have also scheduled live performances for summer and the rest of the year. With their growing popularity with overseas fans in particular thanks to Kuroko no Basuke, we hope to see more of them in the future!
