We’re not exactly churning out good news today! PC gamers may be a little bit disappointed today as publishers of the critically acclaimed Assassin’s Creed series have announced the release date for the highly anticipated (adjectives are fun!) Assassin’s Creed III on the PC… it’s not good news… but we said that at the start!
It would seem that PC gamers are going to have to wait before they can transform their monitors into the American wilderness and take control of the newest Assassin with a date being set almost a month after the game is released on consoles. Set for an October 31st release on all major platforms, the PC will get it’s chance come November 23rd… the day after Thanksgiving Day in the US… coincidence? Yeah most likely!
Here’s what the today’s press release had to say:
“Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed® III for PCs will be available in the UK on November 23, 2012.
Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratohnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Players become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date.
Assassin’s Creed III is set to release on October 31st for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and will be available for Wii U™ from Nintendo when the Wii U™ launches.
