It’s a bumper day for Wolverine movie fans, as six new cast members have been announced to hang around with Hugh Jackman namely Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto and Rila Fukushima. Will Yun Lee is probably the most recognisable name on the list, you’ll probably recognise him from Die Another Day, Elektra or the upcoming Total Recall he is reportedly playing Kenuichio Harada, The Silver Samurai and presumably the main villian of the film. Brian Tee will be playing Noboru Mori a corrupt politician who is set to marry Mariko (Tao Okamoto) the daughter of crimelord Shingen (Hiroyuki Sanada) and of course love interest of the Canadian with Claws. Rila Fukushima is the deadly assassin Yukio, while Hal Yamanouchi’s character is Yashida, but as far as I knew Shingen and Yashida were the same person, Who knows i’m sure it will all be made clear soon enough.
The plot will be inspired by the now almost legendary arc by Claremont and Millar that cemented Japan as a corner stone of Wolverine’s past. The film is set for release 26 July 2013.
