Mortal Kombat united are claiming responsibility for posting a screencap of the character selection screen from the upcoming Mortal Kombat game. Many old faces are set to return to the deadliest fighting tournament ever conjured between the Earth and Outworld. The story for the new MK game will be a retelling of the original trilogy of games but in an alternate universe where Raiden receives a message from himself in the future warning of Shao Kahn’s ultimate destruction and the apocalypse his reign will bring. Raiden gathers up the mightiest warriors in Outworld and Earth and together they must enter Mortal Kombat if they are to defeat Shao Kahn and his army of demons.
