“Only the Gods are real”
That’s what Neil Gaiman wrote in the preface to American Gods. After seeing this Entertainment Weekly first look we could say that the Gods are more real than ever. These two images help give a feel of what the series will look like. They show Ricky Whittle (Shadow), Pablo Schreiber (Mad Sweeney) and Ian McShane (Mr Wednesday) during an early scene of the book.
I thought the latest announcement (Orlando Jones as Mr Nancy) would be the biggest American Gods piece of news this week. I’m glad I was wrong.
American Gods is due to premiere on Starz next year with Bryan Fuller and Michael Green as executive producers and David Slade directing the pilot. It’s going to be a long wait, but worth it.
