Star Wars fans, actually geeks everywhere, take a seat because today is a doozy! First we got a look at the Daredevil season 2 trailer then there was the art for new Pokémon Magearna. Now we get an official announcement from StarWars.com that production is underway.
According to the official website which updated this afternoon with a blog post coupled with a video:
“Cameras roll and the cast is confirmed for the next chapter of the Star Wars saga.
Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII, which began principal photography at Pinewood Studios in London on February 15, 2016.”
As well as the news that production was underway, it was confirmed that Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran have joined the cast for the next movie.
And we had just started getting over The Force Awakens!
