Earlier this week it was revealed that Tron 3, slated to begin shooting this autumn, may have found its title as Tron: Ascension, as a tweet from Production Weekly states.

This may only be a working title, but, given the events that occurred at the end of Tron: Legacy (No spoilers, just go watch it, it’s deadly!) it seems to be quite fitting.
Way back in 2013, Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski promised that Tron 3 would deliver on the events hinted at in those closing moments as well as mentioning that multiple other characters from Tron: Legacy would be returning. So far, only Gareth Hedlund is cast to return when shooting begins next October.
I, for one, can’t wait to see, and more specifically to hear what’s to come from the next installment in the series. If Daft Punk can’t return to bring the noise I have a few people I’d love to see replacing them, but for now we’ll all have to wait patiently.
