Deadpool #250

It was announced a while ago that our dearly beloved Wade Wilson, A.K.A. Deadpool, would be shuffling off his mortal(?) coil with the end of the current run on issue #45. It just so happens that this issue also marks the 250th issue of Deadpool’s solo series overall. Recently it was revealed that Deadpool, in his final appearance (on this run) wouldn’t just be taking the normal way out with a slow build-up and then a crescendo, he is Deadpool after all. It seems that series writers Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn feel the best way to send off The Merc With A Mouth is to celebrate his life roast-style, with appearances from his closest allies and references to his greatest story arcs. There’s also a “What If?” story about him getting his hands on the Infinity Gauntlet.
Not a bad way to go out with a bang, though personally, I’m expecting him to still be alive at the end of it. Death is becoming increasingly temporary when it comes to superheroes these days.
