Black Widow is the next film in the MCU and the new trailer showcase its action-thriller vibes. Set in between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, Natasha goes back to her roots and returns to Russia, in order to confront her past. She will have to team up with fellow Red Room alumni Yelena Belova.
Chased by US Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross, Natasha will also be pursued by main villain Taskmaster, a masked figured, who is highly trained in combat techniques and has a range of gadgets that they use in order to get an advantage over their opponent. Taskmaster also has the ability to learn, mimic and predict their opponents moves. Check out the latest trailer for some footage of Taskmaster versus Black Widow.
Black Widow will include the talents of David Harbour (Red Guardian), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Rachel Weisz (Melina Vostokoff), and O-T Fagbenle (Rick Mason). Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark will also appear in some form in the film, as well as having Ray Winston and Olivier Richters are also cast in unannounced roles.
Black Widow is directed by Cate Shortland and written by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, Black Widow will be released in theaters on May 1st 2020.
