Mads Mikkelsen will star in Polar, a Netflix film adaptation of graphic novel of the same name. Polar follows a retired hitman who has been targeted by his former employer. This action thriller has elements of recent flicks such as John Wick, packed with gritty combat, eccentric characters and over the top set-pieces.
The film will also star Vanessa Hudgens, Katheryn Winnick, Johnny Knoxville and Matt Lucas, as they portray a range of colourful characters. Directing duties lie with Jonas Åkerlund, who is an award winning music video & concert director. He injects a very stylised world which looks interesting so far. Music and the score are being produced by Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5,
Polar releases on Netflix January 25th.
