The Good Omens cast keeps getting better by the second. Especially after Deadline reported that Jon Hamm will be in the show. As the Archangel Gabriel!
Gabriel had a small role in the book, but he’ll have a sizeable one in the series. Neil Gaiman explained that he and Terry Pratchett had plotted a Good Omens sequel and the angels were important there. He felt he had to include the angels here
Gaiman also describes Gabriel as ‘everything that Aziraphale isn’t: he’s tall, good-looking, charismatic and impeccably dressed.’ And also said he feels fortunate they managed to get Jon Hamm, who is all of those things even without acting.
As if I didn’t want to watch this show already! Jon Hamm might get more praise as a dramatic actor but as a comedic actor he’s even better. His roles in 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt prove that.
