Bruce Lee, legendary martial artist and movie star, had a few projects in development before his untimely death. One of these was Warrior; a story about a Chinese immigrant in America during the Tong Wars, a 19th century conflict in San Francisco’s Chinatown. Now the series will finally begin production for Cinemax, the network who brought you the horror series Outcast.
Bruce Lee‘s daughter Shannon will serve as executive producer for the show. Bruce was quite a prolific writer and much of his work went unpublished, including his notes and story outline for Warrior. According to Deadline, Justin Lin is set to direct the pilot of the historical martial arts saga.
No word yet as to who will star in this engaging new series, but with the attachment of Lin and the lasting appeal of Bruce Lee, this will certainly be one to watch out for.
