Considering the Russo brothers are begin the long, arduous shooting process for The Avengers: Infinity War this November, there’s speculation for miles on what those films are going to look like. Chief among the questions are that of who’ll be involved – what characters in the MCU will get a look in during the epic two-part culmination of the cinematic saga.

Previously, the Russos were quoted at the number 67 as the amount of named, specific Marvel characters they have on the drawing board for Infinity War. They’ve since refuted that statement, as you’ll see in the video below, reverting back to the idea that there are simply a “lot” of characters in play.

But more interestingly, they were asked about whether the Netflix characters, Jessica Jones et al, would be making an appearance. They responded simply by saying “All things are possible at Marvel.” Obviously a non-answer, it at least adds confidence to the idea that it isn’t ruled out that they’ll appear in some capacity. With so many contracts and moving parts, even just a few seconds would be enough to at least make sure The Defenders, as their cumulative Netflix moniker goes, are acknowledged in the wider MCU storyline as phase three ends.

Among the other answers, from a Q ‘n’ A hosted by Collider, are confirmation that they’re using IMAX cameras start to finish in filming, the first draft of the Infinity War script is just about to be started after an agreed upon outline and the Russos’ frequent collaborators Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are writing the script while Trent Opoloch is still on cinematography duties.
