No, don’t get your hopes up because we’re not getting a new title! The team over at Resident Evil are so pleased with the remastered version of the first game that now they’re tackling another title from the franchise.
In a special video message featuring the producer of Resident Evil HD remastered, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi introduces his colleagues, director Koji Oda and producer Tsukasa Takenaka and both go on to confirm their next project as a HD remastering of Resident Evil Zero.
Resident Evil Zero was first released thirteen years ago by Capcom for the Nintendo Gamecube, and acts as a prequel to the first RE game. Players take control of either Rebecca Chambers, a police officer/medic or all-round tough guy and ex-con, Billy Coen, as they begin to realise the full extent of the horrors taking place in the Arklay mountains.
The title is scheduled for a 2016 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
