Arrow Had Plans For Harley Quinn Says Willa Holland
In an interview with Flickering Myth, Willa Holland (who plays Thea on the show) discussed the deleted scene with Harley Quinn in Arrow‘s second season. Holland talked about how the series was planning on using Harley a lot before the plans were scrapped.
“We had big plans for Harley,” Holland has said. “I guess something came down from DC execs that told us to shut it down. I mean, we had that tease with the pigtails and the A.R.G.U.S. outfit but we’ll never see it. We would love Harley in Arrow but it will never happen.”
The popular Harley Quinn, who made her debut on Batman: The Animated Series, will star in next year’s Suicide Squad with actress Margot Robbie taking on the role. The upcoming movie, which is set to be released in 2016, will also star Jared Leto as the enigmatic Joker and Will Smith as Deadshot.
Arrow is returning for a fourth season in autumn (unfortunately minus any Harley) with H.I.V.E and Damien Darhk set to be its antagonists, along with the threads of other plots where we’ll no doubt see more of A.R.G.U.S, the League of Assassins and the new Ra’s al Ghul.
