Back for its seventh year, the Japanese Film Festival will be opening in Limerick on the 8th of April and will continue to tour Galway, Cork, Dublin and Waterford.10422381_931770590177473_4312599125233669086_n
Adding to the above JFF we’re delighted to announce that they are expanding their tour by attending Sligo IT and An Tain Arts Centre in Dundalk
Almost all of the 18 films that will be screened this year will be Irish Premieres with most acclaimed film makes from contemporary Japanese cinema featuring a wide variety of genres, themes and topics that will appeal to all audiences.
Some of the Irish premieres to note include  The Light Shines Only There, Japan’s official submission to the Academy Awards “Best Foreign Language Film category”, and a particularly beautiful animated tale A Letter To Momo which tells the tale of a young girl coping with loss who gets some help from the supernatural and Time of Eve which looks into the possibility of android and humans living as equals
