TOY STORY 3

Panic over, folks, it’s been revealed that our pitch perfect ending to Toy Story 3 isn’t about to be fiddled with with the upcoming Toy Story 4.
In an interview with Disney Latino, by way of /Film, Pixar President Jim Morris has made it known that Toy Story 4 will be the start of something new rather than a continuation of what has come before.
The third movie ended in a beautiful way and completed a trilogy,” he said. “I think this movie is not part of this trilogy. It is a separate story, which in turn I do not know if will be continued. Never begin a project with that in mind.
He went on top drop some hints as to what we can expect from the film, the most interesting being that he regards it as a “romantic comedy” and that it “will not put much focus on the interaction between the characters and children.
Now, the romantic comedy angle isn’t exactly far-fetched from a family-friendly animation studio such as Pixar, but the removal of the children/toy interaction could change the dynamic of the premise dramatically as that was always a focal point of each film. If nothing else, it’s good to know they are trying to tread new ground, rather than re-hashing what was a monumental three film run.
Toy Story 4 is set for release June 15th, 2017.
