Style Saturdays: Batgirl and Nightwing Fashion
As someone with a fondness for fashion and a love for most things geek I relish every opportunity I get to combine the two. That’s how Style Saturdays came about. I wanted to break away from the t shirt and skirt or t shirt and jeans combo I have to drab on when I want to wear one of my many nerdy t-shirts.
My inspiration for the month of September was the Bat Family. For those who aren’t familiar that would be Batman, Batwoman, Nightwing, Batgirl, Batwing, Red Robin and Red Hood.
Each of these characters have a unique feel about them that I used as inspiration. For this months casual looks I chose Batgirl and Nightwing as my muses.
Batgirl
Batgirl has a kickass laid back sort of fashion. As a fan of her latest costume I couldn’t leave Doc Martens out of this look and I kept the colours simple so I went for black and yellow as a tribute to the previous costume.

Nightwing
Nightwing is just awesome, he’s got a laid back but serious (when he needs to be) vibe. So naturally I thought a nice leather jacket and some accents of his signature blue would be the fundamental to pull off this ultra casual Nightwing look.
