Pitch for a Supergirl TV Series
The team over at BleedingCool are reporting that a pitch for a Supergirl television series is a very a real thing and it has a very prominent and believable name attached to it!
Michael Green has been a producer for several big TV series including Heroes and Smallville and he’s also attached to projects like Arrow, Gotham and American Gods. Green also worked on the New 52 reboot for Supergirl, only lending more credibility to the reports that he is pushing a pitch to Warner Bros. for a new television series.
With three brand new DC inspired television series kicking off this year, Gotham, Flash and Constantine, it seems that their efforts are concentrated more on the television screens as opposed the theatre screens with Marvel unwilling to let go of their grip on it.
With Marvel/Netflix planning a Jessica Jones series, maybe DC are aware that failing to step up and push a female led series will only leave them further behind.
